Description
The coin portrays a snake which has been gilded in 24-carat gold. Included in the design is the inscription ‘SNAKE 2025’, the Chinese character for ‘snake’, and a ‘P125’ mintmark signifying The Perth Mint’s 125th anniversary in 2024.
Accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity, the coin comes in a classic display case with a clear lid, and an illustrated shipper. When aligned with shippers from other coins in the Australian Lunar Series III, the resulting diorama depicts all 12 animals participating in the Great Race, a traditional Chinese story about the creation of the lunar calendar.
