Marking the 2023 World Money Fair to be held between 3rd and 5th of February 2023, the Perth Mint has released an exclusive coin show special featuring the 2023 Australian kookaburra design in vivid colour.
Struck by The Perth Mint from 1oz of 99.99% pure silver, the coin is issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965.
The Perth Mint will release no more than 2,000 of the World Money Fair Australian Kookaburra 2023 1oz Silver Coloured Coin.
DESIGN
The coin’s reverse portrays a coloured representation of two kookaburras perched on the branches of a shrub displaying the flowers of Australian native waratah. Included in the design is the inscription ‘KOOKABURRA’, The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, and the coin’s weight, purity and 2023 year-date.
The coin bears The Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Obverse, featuring the Jody Clark effigy supplemented with the dates of her reign, and the monetary denomination.
